| NEW YORK, May 4 /PRNewswire/
-- Today, United States District Court Judge Jed Rakoff issued a written opinion detailing
his summary judgement order granted to the Recording Industry Association of America
(RIAA) against San Diego-based MP3.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: MPPP), on April 28. According to
MP3.com ( www.mp3.com ), the court's statements were
anticipated. ``Today's elaboration by Judge Rakoff is exactly what we expected,'' said MP3.com president, Robin Richards. ``Naturally, we will keep open all options available to us. That said, we continue to negotiate with the RIAA and the major labels with the goal of an equitable business resolution.'' ``I think everyone is getting tired of the constant litigation,'' continued Richards. ``Consumers and artists alike are looking to the labels and MP3.com to lead the way into the future with ingenious new revenue models for artists and copyright holders which will stimulate online music services and grab the attention of consumers. We look forward to this reality.'' About MP3.com MP3.com is pioneering a revolutionary approach to the promotion and
