2000 -- LG is launching the MF-PD360 - one of smallest, lightest and most portable players
on the market today - with the capacity for 64 MB of memory (2 x 32 MB MMC slots) and
Windows NT compatibility. Fully-featured and designed to LG's high quality standards, the
new MP3 player incorporates state of the art digital technology. The ultra-stylish MF-PD360 weighs only 60g without batteries. It also benefits from 'solid state' technology - unlike CD or MiniDisc there are no moving parts required to play the software, so the player overcomes the biggest problem of music on the move by being 100% skip proof. Uniquely, the MF-PD360 offers full Windows NT/95/98/2000 compatibility and USB Port Connection. This plug and play MP3 player is a technological leader and an absolute must-have for all music and gadget fanatics. The MF-PD360's twin MMC card slots provide up to 1 hour's playback time (1 MB equals approximately 1 minute of music), and unlike other players' built-in memory, offer the flexibility of being infinitely expandable to larger memory cards in the future. A generous 32MB of memory is supplied with the MF-PD360 to get you started, and the twin slot system means that one memory card instantly switches to another, ensuring continuous playback. For maximum convenience and ease of use the MF-PD360 has a unique back- lit LCD wired remote control on the earphones instead of the player, leaving the user free to store the player in a pocket and simplifying track selection in dim lighting and on the move. The remote control also displays battery remaining time, song title and artist as well as track number for ultimate convenience. Other digital-related features include repeat/random track play, X- live/POP/Flat equalisation presets, a bookmark (quick-find) facility for replaying favourite parts and a digital volume control. The MF-PD360 comes with accessories including earphones, 32MB removable memorycard, a carrying case, PC USB Port data connection cable and MP3 Explorer installation CD ROM. The MP3 player is the most portable and flexible solution for listening to your favourite music on the move - whether downloaded from the internet or transferred from your existing CD collection. It's simple and instant - select a song by browsing through one of the many MP3 'pay-per-track' or 'free-download' music websites on the internet and download it onto your PC's hard drive. The LG MP3 players are as portable as any personal music player and offer sound quality to rival CD. As a portable music storage medium the MMC card wins hands down over the CD and MiniDisc formats. MMC cards are comparable to postage stamp size and weigh almost nothing, making them ideal for transporting many albums' worth of music on the move without taking up valuable storage space. MMC cards are also more robust than other formats due to their size and protective casing. "The MF-PD360 is for image conscious music lovers, designed with style and practicality at its heart," explains Andy Kim, LG product manager. "It's one of the few products on the market to offer Windows NT compatibility and USB connections, confirming LG's position at the forefront of MP3 innovation, and is the ultimate player for anyone seeking perfect audio enjoyment."
