TerraTec's new SoundSystem DMX XFire 1024

With the brand-new SoundSystem DMX XFire 1024 (read: crossfire) TerraTec Electronic is able to present an audio accelerator which perfectly combines price and performance.
Conceived as an ultimate 4-channel card with 3D audio accelerator, the DMX XFire 1024 also has digital inputs and outputs which significantly increase its application usage. The Nettetal-based manufacturer of sound cards and MP3-CD players will launch the sale of its DMX XFire 1024 in stores in April/May.
The SoundSystem DMX XFire 1024's references read like a "who's who" of 3D-sound standards. Providing superior capabilities via Sensaura technology offering full support for A3D 1.0, EAX 1.0 and EAX 2.0, the DMX XFire 1024 brings up to four speakers or your headphone to life. DSP routines guarantee optimal sound quality in any speaker configuration. The DSP-supported hardware accelerator - reducing CPU load - will make the gamer's heart beat noticeably faster, thanks to Sensaura 3D with EnviromentFX, MacroFX and Multidrive. The digital input on the SoundSystem DMX XFire 1024 synchronizes itself to 32, 44,1 and 48kHz and automatically recognizes the frequency of the signal present. The control panel readily gives you information about the digital input's status, like pre-emphasis and copy-protection.

The digital output keeps connected to the outside world at 48kHz and lets you connect to DAT recorder, Minidisc recorder and other equipment. Pre-emphasis and copy-protection can be set too. Its flexibility becomes obvious when a corresponding software-DVD player passes the AC3 stream (e.g. Dolby Digital) along to the digital output without any problems. 1 Kilo of voices - 1024, in fact - are available to the MIDI user. 8MB and not a single sample less await your arrangements. DLS 1.0 compatibility allows the wavetable synthesizer to play back your own sound sets.

Last but not least: two uncoupled CD inputs (e.g. for burner + CD-ROM) with their own pre-switched noise suppression, headphone amplifier and wavetable connector.
Furthermore, a signal-to-noise ratio of –97dB and straight-as-an-arrow frequency paths guarantuee peace and silence.
