) MP3 (MPEG-3) players compress and encrypt stored music files on a flash memory card in MP3 format and play the music. Users can download up to two hours of digital-quality music from the Internet, on-line communications services and vending machines onto the MP3 player. The MP3 player provides a 32-megabyte multimedia card for basic memory and two slots in the main body to enable memory expansion to 64 MB. The player can store more than 16 songs and has a bookmark function, which allows users to return to their favorite music quickly. Smaller than a deck of cards, the MP3 player runs for more than 12 hours on regular AA batteries, and features a preset equalizer, random play button and a LCD remote control. Zenith also demonstrated an Audio CD recorder with which consumers can create their own CDs and create their own music mixes. The flexible system, with a wide array of digital and analog inputs, allows users to make CD copies of their favorite tapes and albums for their personal use. SOURCE: Zenith Electronics Corporation |
