NVIDIA Unveils DVD Player/Decoder for the Ultimate PC Home Theater

Designed for NVIDIA Products, NVIDIA's New NVDVD Multimedia Software Delivers Video and Audio Playback 

INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM, SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- NVIDIA® Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA) today introduced NVDVD(TM), a new software-based DVD player/decoder architected specifically for NVIDIA's family of graphics and multimedia processors. NVIDIA NVDVD, to be demonstrated this week at the Intel® Developer Forum, is designed to power DVD playback for a new generation of NVIDIA-based mobile and desktop PCs.

A complete software DVD solution, developed entirely by NVIDIA, NVDVD utilizes an enhanced, state-of-the-art video decoding engine to deliver users a sharper, more true to life video image. NVDVD's integrated Dolby(TM) Digital® support delivers the benefits of Dolby Surround® technology for users with multi-channel sound cards. For consumers who want to utilize external audio processors such as a home theater receiver, NVDVD can output direct digital audio via an S/PDIF connector for external processing of Dolby Digital, DTS, MPEG audio, or LPCM formats.

     NVIDIA nView(TM) Support -- NVIDIA NVDVD takes full advantage of NVIDIA's
     nView(TM) multi-display functionality, providing support for video

     Digital Vibrance Control(TM) (DVC) -- NVIDIA DVC allows end users to
