Cambridge Soundworks Products Available to Canadian Consumers at Hifi.com

Forms Partnership with Borderfree to Offer Products to Canadian Marketplace

NEWTON, Mass., March 28 /CNW/ --Cambridge SoundWorks®, an award-winning manufacturer and retailer of home theater, home audio and multimedia products, today announced that its products will be available to Canadian consumers through its Internet-channel, Hifi.com(TM). Cambridge SoundWorks has opened its product line to the Canadian marketplace via a partnership with Borderfree, a shopping service that lets Canadian consumers purchase products from U.S. websites, including those that do not ship to Canada. Cambridge SoundWorks is a wholly owned subsidiary of Creative (Nasdaq: CREAF), the worldwide leader in digital entertainment products for the personal computer and the Internet.

"Cambridge SoundWorks products continue to be in great demand by consumers who seek high quality audio/video systems at value prices. We receive countless requests from Canadian consumers, in particular, but they have not had full access to our line," said Michael Sullivan, president of Cambridge SoundWorks. "Our partnership with Borderfree has answered this need. Borderfree handles all cross-border issues, such as price conversions, customs and logistics, allowing us to provide turnkey order fulfillment. The result is a seamless shopping experience."

Consumers can purchase Cambridge SoundWorks products by first registering for Borderfree's online basket at www.borderfree.com. Once complete, they simply go to the Hifi.com site and, after choosing a product for purchase, drop it into the Borderfree basket. The customer will automatically receive a price quote (in Canadian dollars) that calculates the total purchase price including foreign currency conversion, duties and tariffs, taxes, and shipping and handling costs. Once the price quote is accepted, the product order is fulfilled through Hifi.com and Borderfree.

"Companies, such as Cambridge SoundWorks, now have the ability - through Borderfree - to sell products to customers in Canada," says Pierre Schuurmans, president and co-founder of Borderfree. "This is a win-win partnership for Cambridge SoundWorks, as well as for Canadians who want access to leading edge home entertainment and consumer electronics."
