Sontage Interactive Announces Pricing and Upgrade Information for Game Commander 2

SAN JOSE, CA (September 20, 2000)  Sontage Interactive, a division of  Mindmaker, Inc. and makers of Game CommanderT voice recognition software for games and simulations, today announced pricing and upgrade information for Game Commander 2 which will be released toward the end of October 2000.

Game Commander (www.gamecommander.com), originally released in late 1998, was the first truly compelling and robust voice control software designed specifically for games. Since then, Game Commander has won critical acclaim and awards including "Editor's Choice" (PC Gamer), "4-1/2 Stars" (ZDNet GameSpot), "Editor's Choice" (CNET Gamecenter), "Top Honors" (PowerSims.com), "Award of Excellence" (AVSIM Online), "Editor's Choice" (Sim-Arena.com), "Top Pick" (CombatSim.com), and "Award of Excellence" (Games Domain).

Game Commander 2 is the next generation of the product, rebuilt from the ground up, features numerous enhancements and optimizations, and adds support for Windows 2000. Unlike other products, Game Commander 2 works with existing voice chat software such as TeamSoundT, Roger WilcoT, BattleComT, and many others so that gamers don't have to give up the systems that they like and that their teammates already use. To switch between voice commands and voice chat, Game Commander 2 doesn't require any special hardware. The push-to-talk system is user configurable and can be controlled by any programmable device that sends keystrokes.

Game Commander 2 will be available on CD with a noise-canceling head microphone for $39.95*. As with previous versions of Game Commander, Game Commander 2 will also be available in downloadable, software-only format. The downloadable product will be $29.95* directly from the Game Commander Online Store.

·       Customers who purchase Game Commander from a retailer between September 1, 2000 and the release of the new version will qualify for a free** downloadable upgrade to Game Commander 2. The download server will e-mail instructions for retrieving the upgrade to the e-mail address you specify. Allow up to 7 to 10 days for processing.
